Respect Code of Conduct

Managers & Coaches

Droitwich Spa Boys & Girls FC support The FA’s Respect Code of Conduct & Safeguarding programme to ensure football can be enjoyed in a safe, positive environment.

You Must

• Provide ALL of your players with clean, full, water bottles for EVERY match
• Ensure that you have a complete First Aid Kit for EVERY match and training session
• Ensure that spectators remain outside the field of play BEHIND the respect barrier
• Show respect to the players, opposition, match officials and spectators
• Place the well-being, safety and enjoyment of each player above everything, including winning
• Avoid criticising a player for making a mistake – mistakes are part of learning
• Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour
• Be aware of Child Protection issues and discuss any written or verbal complaints or concerns with the club Welfare Officers for guidance before responding
• Advise the club Welfare Officers of any concerns regarding any individual player
• Refrain from and refuse to tolerate any form of bullying
• Assume responsibility for the behaviour of your teams’ spectators

I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any or all of the following actions may be taken by my club, County FA, League or The FA

I may be

• Issued with a verbal warning from a club or league official
• Required to meet with the club, league or County FA Welfare Officer
• Obliged to undertake an FA education Course at your own expense
• Suspended or have club membership removed
• Required to leave the club along with any dependants

The club may be subject to a financial penalty from The FA for any breaches of the above

Should you have any concerns regarding any player / individual / club representative or spectator, please do not hesitate to contact our Welfare Officers as detailed below:
